Chad Caldwell, PE

As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chad is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the firm, with a focus on organizational performance, operational efficiency, and the successful delivery of projects across all markets. He works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align strategic goals with operational execution, ensuring Mark Thomas continues to deliver high-quality results for clients and communities.

Chad brings extensive leadership experience from the U.S. Army, where he most recently served as Commander and District Engineer for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District. His military career includes leading two battalions and serving in senior strategic planning roles supporting top Army leadership. He has managed large-scale, complex engineering programs and is known for building strong, high-performing teams driven by mission and accountability.
