We Work With Transit and Local Agencies to Improve Mobility, Access, and Reliability

Our staff have experience delivering transit improvements, ranging from programmatic planning through final design and construction. We evaluate transit services, analyze recommendations, and provide onboard surveys and community engagement. We also have experience studying different transit alternatives and preparing recommendations to improve bus stop and transit facility access.
We have managed the planning and design of numerous transit stations. Our work has included passenger platforms and station upgrades, track design, passenger amenities, EV charging, bus bays, pedestrian underpasses and tunnels, landscape and aesthetic features, parking lots, and associated drainage and utility improvements.
We also bring expertise in the planning and design of railroad grade separation projects. We have designed precast and cast-in-place concrete overheads and precast concrete and steel girder underpasses. These projects required adherence to Caltrain, Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) grade crossing design requirements as well as American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) standards.
