Description

Mark Thomas prepared the project approval and final design for this project that extended Ramona Avenue from its existing terminus at Brighton Avenue to a new intersection at Folsom Boulevard. It included a new two-lane roadway (one for each direction), new roundabout at the intersection with Brighton Avenue, new signalized intersection at Ramona Avenue/Folsom Boulevard, new Class II bike lanes, new sidewalk on the east side of the roadway, new at-grade crossing of the UPRR Placerville Industrial Lead heavy rail track, and streetscape and art installation. The project also includes ADA improvements near the flood gates on Folsom Boulevard without impacting the historic structures, and providing for the future extension of Ramona Avenue into the CSUS campus.
