Description

Mark Thomas prepared the final design for the Marsh Creek Road Bridge replacement, designing a single-span precast concrete box girder bridge with approach roadways and a retaining wall to protect a steep hillside. The new alignment avoids detours and meets updated water surface elevations, featuring two 12-foot travel lanes and 8-foot shoulders. Coordination with PG&E and Contra Costa Water District was required for utility relocations. The project won multiple awards.
