Hale Avenue Extension

Mark Thomas designed the extension of this arterial street from West Main Street to Spring Avenue, providing a long-needed bypass for traffic around downtown Morgan Hill. The improvements included a roundabout at West Dunne Street, two stormwater detention basins, landscaping, sound walls, a new traffic signal, street lights, and a landscaped median island. Significant retaining walls were constructed to conform to the existing ground adjacent to the new street. Mark Thomas also provided environmental permitting and surveying for the acquisition of right of way and slope easements from 14 parcels.
