Details

Description

Mark Thomas provided planning, design, and engineering services to assist with project scoping, community engagement, data collection, technical studies, alternatives analysis, concept designs, preliminary engineering, and detailed engineering design resulting in plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for this project.

Identified as a high-priority location, this project is located on California Drive, between Broadway and Oak Grove Avenue and is a major north-south commuter corridor. The project enhanced bike connectivity across the city while improving the safety, comfort, and attractiveness of bicycling for people of varying ages and abilities by creating a Class II buffered bicycle facility along a high-stress corridor; reconfiguring the roadway with traffic calming elements to improve accessibility; and enhance safety through the provision of improved signage and striping along the corridor.
