Alyssa is an essential part of our structures team at Mark Thomas, and her work doesn’t just affect our projects – it has a direct impact on the lives of those in our community.
“Designing bridges benefits the community by improving accessibility to jobs, schools, family, friends, etc.” She shares that one of her favorite projects she’s worked on was the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road: “It was a cable-stayed pedestrian bridge in San Ramon. I performed the independent check on the tower pedestal, which was a very technical design and came with many detailing challenges, but the end result is a sleek bridge that I am proud to have worked on”.
