Firestone Bridge Widening Project Opens, Advancing Safety and Mobility in Norwalk
Celebrating the completion of the Firestone Bridge Widening Project in Norwalk, our team helped deliver safer, more efficient travel through roadway, bridge, and multimodal improvements that support commuters, freight, and the community.
We celebrated alongside the community of Norwalk this past weekend at the Firestone Bridge Widening Project ribbon-cutting, an exciting milestone for a corridor that plays a vital role in regional mobility and goods movement.
Our team proudly supported this project through preliminary engineering, environmental clearance, and final design, delivering over a mile of roadway widening to a six-lane divided arterial, along with multimodal improvements for bicyclists and pedestrians, traffic signal modifications, and widening of the bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad. These improvements enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and better accommodate the high volumes of daily commuters and freight traffic traveling through Norwalk, while also providing more accessible, connected facilities for all users. We’re proud to have been part of this project, which will deliver lasting benefits to the community and support continued economic activity in the region.
