On the Job Training
Team members have ongoing access to learning in a variety of ways. First, through our managers, who ensure that their team members are aware of and can take advantage of the many opportunities to learn through immersive education. In addition to coaching and motivating these individuals regularly, managers are responsible for connecting with their team members during quarterly “Career Conversations”, geared towards identifying goals and guiding individuals towards achieving them.
Internal Expert Training
Secondly, our team has the opportunity to collaborate with their peers, both technical and non-technical, to have a better understanding of the work that they do and the larger role they play in the overall success of the firm. Mark Thomas is fortunate to have many in-house experts with a great deal of experience to share their knowledge with newer team members daily. Through our open collaboration style, individuals benefit from this knowledge and apply it to their work product. Our experts are not only accessible, but they take the time to work with our Learning & Development team to host monthly live training events on important topics.
On-Demand Virtual Classes
Lastly, we leverage the latest technologies to offer courses and training modules through our learning management system, allowing team members 24/7 access to learning when convenient for them. To ensure that we have up-to-date technical content, we have partnered with specialty training providers, like USCAD, to develop an on-demand series of beginner, intermediate, and advanced-level courses. Additionally, our holistic approach incorporates leadership and professional development curricula through Harvard ManageMentor to help our team members grow in all areas of their careers.
