Brian Sutliff, SE, PE

Brian is an exceptionally qualified engineering manager with over 40 years of experience in design and managing engineering delivery teams as well as managing engineering projects and programs ranging from smaller, road, building and bridge projects to multi-billion-dollar rail programs. He provides a unique blend of public agency/private consultant and project/program engineering design and management experience with a track record of success, and has an understanding of projects from an agency/owner position as well as a consultant viewpoint.

In his most significant experience, Brian was an engineering manager performing engineering management, as well as being Director of Engineering for the California High-Speed Rail Program, the first of its kind in U.S., involving development and management of the program-specific design criteria, managing compliance review of planning and design documents, managing multi-billion-dollar program cost optimization studies, 3rd party and inter-agency program agreements, and engineering support of multiple design-build construction contracts.
