Description

Mark Thomas provided planning and final design services for closing the Limonite Avenue gap in the City of Eastvale. The project included a Class I trail system featuring a 320-foot new bridge crossing Cucamonga Creek, complete with viewpoint plazas, cooling features, and extensive site amenities. The team also led final design for closing the gap in the SCE regional trail system by constructing Class I paths and a prefabricated pedestrian/bicycle bridge crossing Cucamonga Creek through the cities of Chino and Eastvale.

Additional work included preliminary design, preparation of PS&E, drainage design, securing regulatory approvals, right-of-way coordination, stakeholder engagement with commercial and residential groups, roadway and bicycle/pedestrian facility improvements, landscaping, community outreach, and grant funding support.
