Mark Thomas Selected to Develop Multimodal Transportation & Land Use Plan for Downtown Stockton

We’re excited to share that we’ve been selected to develop a Multimodal Transportation Network and Land Use Compatibility Action Plan (Plan) for the Downtown City of Stockton, CA!
Downtown Stockton is supported by three key transit stations: the Downtown Transit Center (DTC), Cabral Station, and San Joaquin Street Station. These stations combine to provide services from multiple transit operators, including Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) rail service, Amtrak San Joaquin’s rail service, and San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) bus service. However, efficient multimodal connectivity between these stations is currently lacking, and they are also surrounded by some of the City’s most historically underserved and disadvantaged communities. The project serves as a key opportunity to facilitate an enhanced transit experience for users in the Sacramento, Central Valley, and Bay Area regions, with the overall goal of improving the safety, multimodal mobility, economic vitality, and livability of the project area in line with local and regional mobility and development goals.
