Mark Thomas Celebrates Groundbreaking of Firestone Boulevard Widening Project in Norwalk, Enhancing Community Infrastructure
We were thrilled to recently celebrate the groundbreaking of the Firestone Boulevard Widening Project in the City of Norwalk, California – an initiative that will fundamentally enhance the community’s infrastructure!
Our team provided preliminary engineering, environmental clearance, and final design of this project, which serves as a vital artery that connects the community, enabling the flow of people, goods, and services.. The roadway also crosses over the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) tracks, and the corridor holds a significant number of businesses that drive the City’s economy. Enhancements include over 1 mile of widening/rehabilitation improvements to the 6-lane divided arterial facility, installation of multi-modal improvements for bicyclists & pedestrians, and bridge widening of the existing UPRR overhead bridge structure.
