Mark Thomas Partners with STV on South Base BEB Charging Infrastructure Project to Support SamTrans’ Zero-Emission Fleet Transition

We’re thrilled to announce that we're partnering with STV on the delivery of the South Base Battery Electric Bus (BEB) Charging Infrastructure Project for the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans)!
SamTrans is transitioning its fleet of 322 fixed-route vehicles to a zero-emission fleet to comply with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) mandate for transit agencies to transition to zero-emission fleets by 2040. The Innovative Clean Transit (ICT) Rollout Plan (Plan) was developed by SamTrans to replace diesel buses with BEBs and hydrogen fuel cell electric buses (FCEBs) at the end of their useful lives. The plan also identifies key capital projects required to operate and maintain the zero-emission buses at SamTrans’ North Base and South Base Maintenance Facilities, including the South Base BEB Charging Infrastructure Project, which requires installation of the charging infrastructure.
Our team will help develop design documents and technical specifications for a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) Contract, for providing design services during construction, and for performing survey work to re-establish the property lines for SamTrans’ South Base Maintenance Facility.
