Mark Thomas Selected to Provide Professional Services for Ped/Bike Crossing in Town of Windsor

We’re excited to announce our selection to prepare the PSR-PR, secure PA&ED, and complete final design for the Downtown Pedestrian and Bicycle Crossing of US 101 Underpass Widening Project in Windsor!
We’re excited to announce that we have been selected to prepare the Project Study Report-Project Report (PSR-PR), secure Project Approval and Environmental Documentation (PA&ED), and complete the final design plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for the Downtown Pedestrian and Bicycle Crossing of US 101 Underpass Widening Project in the Town of Windsor!
The Old Redwood Highway is one of the Town’s most heavily traveled streets and serves as one of the main connections between the east and west sides of Windsor. Our team previously completed the 30% concept plans for the Downtown Pedestrian and Bicycle Crossing of US 101 Project, and we provided support to the Town to secure concurrence by Caltrans to prepare a combined PSR-PR. The new design features elements that address aspects noted during the community outreach phase. Improvements will include curb ramp bulb-outs to reduce crossing distances for pedestrians at intersections, widened dedicated two-way bicycle lane and pedestrian facilities, buffers from motorized vehicles, and improved lighting, enhancing pedestrian and bicyclist comfort and safety.
