Project Land Surveyor - Sacramento

OFFICE LOCATION: Sacramento

You will manage project tasks, budgets, staff workload, and schedules while also resolving boundaries, conducting QC on field data, and mentoring junior staff. RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Provide field crews with the necessary information and are scheduled to maximize efficiency and accuracy
  • Communicate project instructions clearly to both field and office staff
  • Complete projects on time, within budget and within quality parameters specified by Survey Manager or Supervisor, meting client expectations
  • Assist and engage in proposal development and client presentations
  • Perform boundary resolution and field inspections
  • Prepare estimates, proposals and participates in interviews
  • Responsible charge for ALTA surveys, corner records, topographic exhibits and property descriptions
  • Ensure that field equipment is available and well supported
  • Participate in training activities and actively seek opportunities to contribute to the achievement of Mark Thomas strategic goals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Survey or AA with a survey emphasis preferred
  • 4 - 6+ years’ relevant experience
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Licensed surveyor in the State of California preferred; LSIT with qualification to sit for the LS required
  • Knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and other relevant software; working knowledge if Microstation preferred
  • Ability to multi- task and set priorities effectively
  • Demonstrate effective project management skills through prior experience
  • Demonstrate competent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work & collaborate in a team environment
