Experience with infrastructure project delivery required. A strong understanding of Caltrans processes and standards is a plus. Proficient in MS Project. Knowledge of overall project deliverables (PSR, PA/ED, PS&E). Candidate must be well-organized; team-oriented and possess strong communication skills (written, verbal, and comprehension). The ability to develop positive client relationships through networking and participation in professional organizations is essential to success at this level. Must be able to manage multi-disciplinary teams and subconsultants while facilitating project delivery. Marketing Coordinator

Mark Thomas & Company, a leading engineering and infrastructure services firm, is seeking a qualified applicant for our marketing organization in our Irvine office. As part of the marketing team, the selected individual will be responsible for coordinating, writing and producing proposals and related marketing materials such as client-specific brochures. Excellent written communications skills are of paramount importance to this position. The individual must be able to compose material as well as edit the writing of others. Degree in English, Marketing, or Communications is required. Enthusiasm and a team attitude are important attributes for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research, write, and produce narrative for proposals (including project descriptions, firm profile, and staff qualifications) as well as marketing materials, presentations and other documents for marketing and business development.
  • Write documents and materials that are grammatically correct, concise, and oriented to a specific audience.
  • Edit and enhance narrative materials prepared by other writers.
  • Select/develop charts, tables, diagrams, and photographs to illustrate key points.
  • Organizing, coordinating, and controlling activities involved in the preparation of marketing proposals, presentations, interviews, and submittals

Qualifications

  • Ability to work under pressure, closely track details of multiple projects and interact with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent writing and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate information and sales themes in writing in clear and concise fashion.
  • Minimum 2-4 years in an office environment is desirable. Prior writing or technical editing experience is a definite plus.
  • Must have flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends in response to critical deadlines.
  • Able to take a project from concept to completion.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) highly desired. Experience working with Deltek helpful.
