In 1927, Mark Thomas founded his firm on the principle that solid engineering has everything to do with a project's success. Thomas maintained a solo practice until after WW II, ensuring that he was directly involved in every project. In 1947, he hired Aldo Savio, beginning the steady growth of what was to become Mark Thomas & Company. Even as the firm grew to five principals by the late 1950s, the belief in management involvement in every project never faltered. Today Mark Thomas & Company carries on that tradition of senior management involvement. That level of care has allowed the firm to become
California's leading transportation engineering firm, and a leading provider of land surveying, site development, infrastructure improvements, environmental and municipal engineering services.
